Geoff Tolley, President - GBLAfter graduating from the Missouri School of Journalism, Geoff began his career as an advertising copywriter in his hometown of Buffalo, NY. He came to Pittsburgh in 1989, and worked at several agencies as a writer, producer and creative director before joining the ranks of executive management. His advertising work has been awarded with local, regional and national honors. Geoff is a past board member of DrugFree PA, and currently serves on the board of the Pittsburgh Advertising Federation. He has lectured on creativity at many local colleges and universities, and spent three years as an adjunct professor at Point Park University. Judith O'Toole, Director and CEO - Westmoreland Museum of American ArtJudith Hansen O'Toole is Director/CEO of the Westmoreland Museum of American Art. The museum's collections and exhibitions reflect her expertise in 19th- and 20th-century American Art. O'Toole is the author of two books on American painting and numerous exhibition catalogs. She has lectured at Sotheby's, New York; The National Gallery, Washington, D.C.; and the College Art Association, New York. In 1993, O'Toole was cited by Art News in a listing of nationally recognized American scholars. Her museum work has been recognized by The American Associations of Museums, among other organizations. She has published in the field of museum management and is an advocate of Social Enterprise in cultural organizations. Mark Peterson, President - Community Loan Fund of Southwestern Pennsylvania Mark Peterson is the founder of Community Loan Fund of Southwestern Pennsylvania and led its growth to $30 million in assets. Incorporated in 1990 Community Loan Fund of Southwestern Pennsylvania expands economic opportunity and increases employment by providing over $10 million a year in financing to small businesses and non-profit organizations in western Pennsylvania. Peterson has more than 30 years management experience in a variety of enterprises. He has a B.A. in Sociology from Wittenberg University. He lives in Point Breeze with his wife, Mary Anne Mason and they have two children. Henry Beukema, Executive Director - McCune FoundationHenry Beukema recently passed his twenty-seventh anniversary as a western Pennsylvania grantmaker, having spent 12 years with the Heinz Endowments and Pittsburgh Foundation as a Program Officer, and 14 years at McCune Foundation as Executive Director. Since January 2000 he has also been Executive Director of the Pitcairn-Crabbe Foundation. His current responsibilities involve managing a staff of six governed by a Planning and Development Committee (McCune Foundation) with five family members. With current assets of more than $600 million, the Foundation last year made grants of almost $27 million. A little over 80% of these were made in southwestern Pennsylvania, with a program emphasis in private education, health and social services, and civic affairs (which also includes culture and community development). Beukema's duties as Executive Director allow him to serve on a number of local nonprofit boards and advisory committees related to the Foundation's grantmaking interests. When not involved in Foundation and civic duties, Henry enjoys close family activities with his three grown sons, one of whom works at Guyasuta Investment Advisors in Pittsburgh, and his wife Charlotte, who recently retired after 34 years in retailing with Kaufmann's. |
